Subject says it all. In a few weeks I'll be in Seattle for the first time and I'd like to maximize my coffee loving experience. Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

Most people seem to favor Vivace although not my favorite. Espresso is different than most, so it's worth a go for sure.
Zoka is the one I'm not a big fan of. It's an indonesian based espresso and just isn't my favorite.
Although based out of Portland, Stumptown has some cafes/roasters there. Never been to the seattle Stumptowns, but worth a go if you've never been (hairbender is also an indonesian based espresso blend btw).

If you need any espresso equipment or just want to take a look, you could pay a visit to Gail and Kat from SeattleCoffeeGear. The retail store is located at 6911 216th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036. It's about a 16 miles drive north of Seattle.

I'm a fan of Zoka in Greenlake/U-village area. Mostly because I find it comfortable to read/study. Neptune Coffee in Greenwood is also good if you find yourself there. Caffe Vita in Capitol Hill is also a favorite of time.
Stumptown is also great... but they're from Oregon so I'm not sure I'd consider that "Seattle Coffee".

There's a new place located in the Fremont district called Milstead & Co. that just does everything right. They opened last year. A very interesting selection of top flight coffee from several roasters. The baristas are friendly and know what they're doing.
It's definitely worth a trip if you can get over there. You won't be disappointed.

See my review of 4 places. Basically it says 1. Stay away from Seattle's Best, 2. Visit Honore in Ballard for a double whammy of great pastry and good espresso, 3. Volunteer Park Cafe is not bad and the only place near Volunteer Park and its museum, 4. Bainbridge Island is slightly more quaint than touristy, but espresso at the Blackbird Bakery there is risky.

You know... it doesn't get mentioned much on the boards here, but I've never had a bad shot at Cafe Umbria down by Pioneer Square. I probably buy coffee every time I'm there as I love the smell of the shop.
