Does anyone know where i can find good espresso in San Diego? I will be there with my wife and kids for a few days next week. That means I will not be able to make my own espresso. THAT means I am at the mercy of whatever coffee shop I can find..... HELP!!!

Zumbar (http://zumbarcoffee.com/) makes some of the best espresso shots and drinks I've ever tasted. They roast their own beans and the owner is meticulous about every last detail, including the barristas he hires and trains. If you like chocolate, try the Mexican mocha.

i just spent some time in SD and found that there really are only two places that do specialty coffee right. They're Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and Coffee and Tea Collective.
I went to a place that has beans supplied from Calabria(supposedly one of the better places for espresso in DT SD) and i'll just say that i think there was quite a bit more oil than i typically like in my espresso beans. For this reason, i decided to pass up checking out Caffe Calabria even though i had to walk past them to get back to my car.
