Both brothers Jerad and Justin managing the coffee bar. I had this 2oz double Owl’s Howl espresso which was sweet, fruity, complex with great acidity. This was such a good shot, and combined with the super trendy coffee house interior, that it made for an experience that was on a higher level than I can get at other TW coffee houses. Hard to explain. The whole experience was just awesome!

Cappuccino made with Owl’s Howl espresso. Nice steamed milk but cappa didn’t wow me like the Owl’s Howl espresso did.

While at Sightglass in San Francisco I bought this Costa Rica microlot coffee. I was hoping that the word microlot meant better, or more interesting tasting coffee, but that was not to be, flavors were too muted for me. This link has an interesting viewpoint.

At Bitter+Sweet coffee house in cupertino I bought this Sightglass coffee from Nicaragua, which I liked a lot better.

From Greg’s blog I learned about the Cup coffee house located Glen Park neighborhood in San Francisco.

Mr Espresso Neapolitan espresso had dark chocolate and herb flavors. Low body but decent shot

Latte at the Cup coffee house. Pretty nice but it was steamed a bit too hot. That’s the way customers like it the barista told me. I should have asked the barista to steam the milk as sweet as possible.

While in San Francisco I also planned to visit Blue Bottle at the Ferry Building Marketplace, as well as visit Four Barrel coffee. Since the Cup is only one block from BART, I decided to take the subway so I wouldn’t have to deal with finding a parking place.

20 minutes later I was at the wonderful Ferry Building Marketplace and visited the Blue Bottle cart on the south side of the building.
