I was in old town Pasadena last week and by change walked by Modern Food Market and Cafe, and I noticed that they serve Stumptown coffee! I had this Stumptown Hairbender espresso which was a good tasty shot. The barista even knew that the name Hairbender was inspired by the hair salon which used to occupy the current Stumptown location on Division street. I also had some nice brewed coffee with a pastry. They sell various roasted beans from Stumptown.

Cappuccino made using Stumptown Haibender espresso and steamed Straus milk. Good cappa but milk could have been steamed sweeter.

Wow! Thx for the heads up, I live in Pasadena and had no idea that place was there. Yesterday I tried Stumptown for the first time actually. Bought a pound of their Guatamala Santa Clara from Cafe De Leche in Highland Park. Very impressed. Modern Market on Holly is closer to me I will definitely be investigating their Stumptown lineup.

Meanwhile Pasadena is a virtual hotbed of specialty coffee options. Intelligentsia, Stumptown, and Klatch are all available within about a mile of each other. Jones Roasters down the road has a big local reputation also. God, I love Pasadena...

Sweet! I'm from South Pasadena also, so I'll be sure to check that place out. The Starbucks at Old Town Pasadena also has the Clover brew option, if some of you are interested...it's the one by the Barnes and Noble.

They are now doing a mixture of Stumptown and Handsome. They had only 1 package of the Handsome Tanzania so I let my friend by it. She's from Bakersfield and very coffee deprived.

The world needs more outstanding coffee.
