To celebrate, Ritual had a Panama week. In 2007 there was more hoopla about the Esmeralda, but I did want to try the 2008 auction lot ES 9-22 Esmeralda coffee from Ritual which was made on the Clover. Good coffee. I'm glad I had it but at $9.50 per cup, the less expensive Panama coffees are almost just as good. I'll stick with those. Loved the aroma. Not as good as the Esmeralda but still nice coffee for less than half the price. Real nice! I like it better than the Sweet Tooth espresso because it has more complexity. The barista told me it has Misty Valley in it. I visited both Ritual and Four Barrel twice in September and both times the customer line at Four Barrel was shorter than at Ritual. Ritual still seems more crowded. At Four Barrel I love the fact that I can walk around the counter and have a good look at both espresso machines and all the action going on. I saw this Clover at Four Barrel. Hope they will start using it soon. Currently when I visit Four Barrel, they have only one brewed coffee ready to go. The Clover solves that issue. I had a plain croissant, which was really good. Possibly the best tasting croissant I've ever had. Very nice latte and nice Hairbender espresso at Four Barrel.
