Or it' just like I explained to my wife.  It's all about priorities.  Which is more important, having clean laundry, or having a 3-group La Marzocco in the laundry room?  I know the answer is obvious, but....

Just explain that you can get your socks cleaner with pre-infusion ramping up to 9 bars of pressure.

I visited Four Barrel on July 15. Took a peek inside. Roaster and loading dock visible in the back. Not open yet but getting close.

Art displayed on the wall. Unusual benches. Looks like a classroom.

It's like Blue Bottle's Linden location.  It keeps the riff-raff going on their merry way to *$.

On July 15 I was at the Moscone Center attending the Semicon West exhibit. This year the hottest thing going was the alternative solar energy (took this picture of a very large solar cell which is used to generate electricity). I was only there for a short time so I was also able to visit seven coffee houses in San Francisco.

In 2007 I went with Greg Scace to Ritual and Blue Bottle. http://coffeegeek.com/forums/worldregional/uswest/307887

On July 15, 2008, two hours before the Semicon West exhibit opened, I was on my way to North Beach and I happened to walk by this coffee house which pulled espressos using the Blue Bottle Hayes Valley blend. Pretty good shot but a bit expensive at $2.75.

First coffee house in North Beach I visited was Greco. They serve Illy so I skipped the espresso and I had some just OK drip coffee with nice Tiramisu.

Next door is Puccini where I had this single carbon tasting espresso.
