At Lulu's they still believe in espresso with dark chocolate flavor to make a cappuccino. Nice smooth steamed milk and that dark chocolate espresso flavor works for me every time. Very nice!

I haven't been to the new one, but the quality of the other two are great! And I'd expect no less at the new location (which will be a lot more convenient for me on my frequent visits).
My only regret is that I lived in Santa Cruz for 14 years, and neither Verve nor Lulu's* existed back then . . .

* Well, Lulu Carpenter's was there, but it was a bar, not a café.
Definitely the Verve coffee house that opened last week located on 1540 Pacific Avenue. That way you can also visit Lulu's, which is only two blocks away, and is located in a historic octagon shaped building. Downtown Santa Cruz is very pretty with street musicians and lots of other stores that are fun to visit.
