A new Blue Fog Market has just opened up on California & Divisidero, between the Presidio Heights, Pacific Heights, and Western Addition neighborhoods.  It's more of a market than a cafe, but some of their staff are now fully trained up with Blue Bottle coffee.  They have a small 2-group La Marzocco and are pulling truly excellent shots.  They also use per-cup filters for regular coffee, and have their own blend from Blue Bottle called Blue Fog.  The shots it pulled are very thick, loaded with sweet caramel.

And if you want a great meal to be followed up with great coffee service, NOPA (also on Divisidero) is really doing things right, again with Blue Bottle coffee & espresso.  Finally a restaurant that has a complete, quality beverage service!

In the Pac Heights neighborhood on Fillmore Street is Bittersweet, a cafe and chocolate store, which also uses Blue Bottle (on their own Bittersweet blend).  Unfortunately their training has been forgotten and they can't seem to pull decent shots.  Marginally better than the chain cafes on the street, but not living up to Blue Bottle standards.

Another good place to find Blue Bottle is in the Financial District at the Jackson Place Cafe (Mon-Fri) -- located in the alley at 633 Battery St. The maestro on the Astoria is Giovanni -- if he's there when you visit, lucky you. They generally use paper cups, but ceramic cups are available. All tables are outside; it's a kiosk operation. 1/2 pound bags of Bella Donovan and Roman Espresso are on sale, delivered on Mondays.

I think it's end of January. There are some recent photos under cafe on the BB website.
