Well, locals do not consider Mulberry St. near the waterfront but the only place to stay that is on Mulberry is the Baltimore Hostel on the corner of W. Mulberry and Cathedral. If you are there you are four blocks from my apartment and I can pull you a shot or two. You are also near Dooby's on Charles Street. walk one block west to Charles and walk 6 or 7 blocks north and it is just after you pass the Washington Monument. They pull Counter Culture and the woman who is there in the morning pulls great shots but the woman who is there in the afternoon pulls stomach acid. My favorite place is also on Charles Street, about four blocks further north, 1210 N. Charles. Called Tribeca. They have a big Diedrich roaster there and are playing around with it. I am waiting until they start raosting their own. I know they are roasting decaf that they are selling to Dooby's, but for regular shots they pull PT or Elixer. They have good pourover there, too. They have good croissants from Uptown Bakers if you get there in the morning before they sell out. You are also close to Koffee Therapy on the corner of Charles and Franklin, about two blocks from the hostel. They are okay. It is a quirky, low key and quiet place and it is nice for that. They pull decent but not exemplary Orinocco roast from Columbia (Maryland). If you are come north on 95, stop at the Ashland exit and tank up on good espresso at Ashland Tea and Coffee, exit 92. For a few more Baltimore tidbits, see my previous post on this forum: Click Here (coffeegeek.com) . Go to the last page; it is the last post on someone else's thread. The coffee cupping at Artifact has been moved to Fridays at 10 am. If you are in town on Friday, maybe I will go with you.
