Had a really good fruit-bomb straight espresso at Elemental Coffee Roasters today. It was their Espresso 228 (20% Eth Sidamo, 80% Brazil), and the amount of fruit flavor was way more than I expected from just 20% Sidamo. The only nit I can pick is the shot was a little short.
Liked it so much I bought a bag. Pulled a longer shot at home, and my temp must have been 1-2F hotter because it was sweeter and the fruit flavor popped out more. Very light City roast, almost Cinnamon--sets a new standard to aspire for my home roasts.
They've been around a while, but this is the first time I've had their coffee or been to their new shop on 8th & Hudson. Really like the open space with their Probat roaster in full view. Couldn't see what roast logging software they were running on their laptop, but it kind of looked familiar to one I've seen on this forum.
