I am currently part of a bakery cafe that is thinking about improving their espresso services via better barista training and coffee. We have 4 stores that sell espresso drinks, and there is a great deal of room for improvement. As a multi-store business they are more interested in training a head barista who would take charge of overseeing the company's (yet to be realized) barista training program. What companies nearby can offer that sort of training?

you should check out Alliance World Coffee in Muncie, IN.  I'm not sure how far that is from Indianapolis.  But they have a training program.  The best barista training you'll get in the state of IN.

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into them.

Does anyone have anything to say about Hubbard and Cravens barista training in Indianapolis?

Its been almost eight years since I've done anything with Hubbard and Cravens but they don't appear to have changed too much. Alliance or the Coffee Institute in Muncie would be a much better option. You can't beat training from Nationally ranked baristas.

I agree with Trevor.  Go to the Coffee Institute, or have them come to you.  It will be well worth your time and money.
