Hi, I'm new here.

What's the general consensus on chain coffee shops? I used to be a massive fan, but I've been hankering after something a bit different of late. I love finding an independent cafe with good coffee but they seem son't seem that common these days vs the big chain places.

They are good for insipid coffee flavoured milkshakes but that's about it.

2 months ago I had a coffee in a McDonalds with my breakfast - 100% Arabica full bean - I haven't been back for more but it wasn't bad either.
Reasonable coffee in McDonalds ! What's next? they'll start selling proper food !
