Has anyone ever bought a second hand coffee grinder in the UK? I'm looking to pick up a quality espresso grinder, but hoped there might be a second hand one out there somewhere. Tried ebay which seems pretty useless. Any other suggestions?

I saw the "mazzer" I think, but it wasn't a convincing ad (I thought). I've put a bid in for the Macap. Maybe its just my pathetic ebay skills :-) Thanks for pointng them out. What should I expect to pay for a good second hand model? Is £150 reasonable?

Hi Graham. Yes, £150 is a reasonable budget and should get you a very capable grinder. You could try calling Scott at HappyDonkey.co.uk - he usually has a fair few decent second hand grinders available but doesn't often list them on his site. Good luck with your search.

For less than £150 you can get a reasonable burr grinder from Whittards & Co. Tea and Coffee. I think its about 120-130, been using it for a year and is really good for the price. Its no-longer on their website however my local branch had it in stock last week.
It's an Iberital MC2 and I love mine, aslong as you don't mind the noise that is, as its a tad noisier than a commerical one like a Mazzer Super Jolly, but aside from that I haven't a complaint.
Just checked happydonkey.co.uk and he's selling them for £99.99 Doser or Doserless.
