Subject: Any ideas what I should do with this

Hi All

Ive been going through some web project ideas I had with someone that was helping us with our website etc.
Anyway, one project that I had thought had died a natural death is actually out there, and I'm not really sure what to do with it.

Basically this guy and I discussed a worldwide coffee growers database. I bought a domain name and we chatted it through but I thought that it ended there. Anyway, after getting someone to chekout our dedicated webserver (for our online shop) we found this active site

www.coffeegrowers.info

Ive had a quick look, I think its mainly COE country stuff, and I dont really know if any of the functionality works etc.

Im not sure what to do with it? Shall I take the site down ? shall I pay for someone else to pick up the project and progress it ?

Not really sure, havent had time to give it much thought.

Does anyone have an opinion on

1) Such a site has any value ?
2) Such a site is worth further investment ?

Thanks for any feedback

Dean

I have no idea at what stage he had it. Im sure he would have re-skinned it if it ever went anywhere.

I think I'll just take the site down an leave it on a backup disk somewhere. On reflection, Im not really that interested in it.

Thanks fot your comments anyway

Hi Dean

May be best to consider taking it down as it looks like it may have been copied and pasted from the Cup of Excellence Website which might cause potential problems with copy write and Intellectual Property stuff etc

If the data already exists (from the ones i checked they were all on the COE Site) its not so useful anyway. Maybe a good project with new entries of coffees you stock perhaps?

Best Wishes

steve
