I hear that all the shops coffees taste good after frequenting some of their other roadside stands.

Actually, the best espresso was to be had at the congress exhibition, but only at one particular booth. There were several that had excellent equipment like commercial Faema or La Marzocco machines and grinders like a Mahlkönig K30, for example. However, expect for that one barista no one seemed to pay any attention to extraction time etc. Even his beans weren't great (too dark a roast), but he made a decent espresso and was skilled at latte art. This guy saved me.
