Ok, so it's time to do an order of green beans. I'm only going to order in the neighbourhood of 20-30 lbs in the 5 lb bags from sweet marias. Is anyone else interested in ordering something so we can double up and save on shipping costs? I am hoping to order in about 2-3 weeks.

Let me know.

Chris

For any folks in Calgary still interested in green bean purchases, I do periodic purchases from Sweet Marias, so if anyone wants to save on shipping let me know.

Also, the boys at the Roasterie in Kensington are in house from 11-2:30 ish mon-fri roasting away. Go in this time to get access to all their stock. If not, they have a couple of KG's per day for sale set aside. All their greens are 40% off of roasted retail. Their standard avaliable bean is a nice ethiopian from the YergeCheffe region (less than $9.00/lb), quite nice at C to C+ roast levels. Not sure how long this lot will last.

Hope this info is useful.

Hi guys, I was thinking about this yesterday and glad I remembered CG.com today....I'm on the Green Coffee Buyers Club too (check it out if you haven't already)   periodically we can bring in coffee at a decent price if we order 15# or so at a time.  If I could get 5 or 6 guys together this could be fun - so long as everyone is happy with ordering a pound or two of every variety every so often.

Any interest?

Kelly

Haven't seen Green Coffee Buyers Club before, looks really interesting. How is shipping compared to sweet marias for price? I could see it being of cost. I would be interested in paring up with you if it is cheaper as I'll be needing higher volumes than 5 lb bags. Currently, the roasterie in kensington has been the cheapest option for me and the most convenient. not convinced their beans are graded as high in some cases though.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris, I've used idrinkcoffee.com with great results in the past as well as S.M. (I absolutely love everything about that place but the shipping costs) and if you want really, really good Kona, check out Captains Ohana...my favourite of all time!

Now back to business.  I've asked for some particulars on shipping to us in Calgary - will let you know what I hear.

There's a Java Blue Bativa that looks interesting.........

Hi my name is Pre-umber.  I have started bringing in fair trade, organic green coffee to help cut down on costs for the home roaster.  I don't live in Calgary but do live in Ponoka.  I have just started an online store but would be willing to meet your coffee needs.  Sorry I would post my site but don't want to infringe on the no advertising ban.  Search Google and you'll hopefully find my site.  If you want to save on shipping just let me know and you can come by and pick them up.  Happy roasting!!!
