August 1-6 I'll be visiting Vancouver.  Since I love espresso, and the odd cappuccino here and there, I'd like recommendations of the best shops to visit while there.

Edit:  The Wicked Cafe on Hornby Street (Downtown Vancouver) is no longer opened.  They closed their doors recently however, their location on Hemlock St. is still open.

after spending almost a month here, I have to say the best espresso and espresso-based drinks I have had are at

Innocent Coffee on W Fourth (great space & great baked goods)

Bump n' grind  (had some awesome Fernwood spro and maccs)

Kafka's on main...

Elysian(both sites) have been great for maccs, but I found the straight espresso better on 5th...

Amazing maccs at crema in West Van.

I had one killer shot of Epic at 49th Parallel.

Revolver Coffee opening on Aug 31st, will change everything...  It will be the coffeeshop destination for coffee snobs I think

Just an FYI for those interested in less well known roasters: Beyond Bread, an artisan bread bakery at 4th and Alma is now now doing small batch bean roasting. The espresso is delicious. They know their coffee (they also sell 49th) and it shows in the product. The bags are on the shelf but not even labelled nor do they advertise that they sell coffee so you just kinda gotta know. Try it. Ps: As a barometer for my coffee palate, I frequent 49th, Elysian, Revolver, Crema, Matchstick

Revolver's location in Gastown has been expanded and there's a lot more space.  They have amazing coffee on site, are very knowledgeable and you can buy beans as well (Heart, Ritual, Bows and Arrows, Phil and Sebastian's etc).
