Hey Jordan, As Joel discussed we would welcome the opportunity to host if no one else wanted to bring all that excitement to thier location! All we need is about a weeks notice to clear appointments and such, assuming no one minds coming to Fratello that is. John.
Thanks very much for the offer - I personally would like the opportunity to have these types of events "tour" around the city - assuming other business are open to this as yourselves and Java Jamboree have been so far. That being said, you're the next to offer your facilities up for the event, so I think it's only natural to take you up on your offer! :) (twist my arm, eh?)
So - next item of business would be to select a date. Does a weeknight suit everyone better than a weekend (including our hosts?)
I'm thinking something for the week of March 10-16 - we just need to ensure that week is good for the hosts, and determine which night of the week! Looking forward to it!

Hey Jordan,
I'm going to be in Edmonton all that week, so if we can do it the week after that would be great, unless it's on the Friday the 16th. I'd really like to be there when this goes this time around. Hopefully this will work for others as well. Having it on a weeknight should not be a problem either.

Morning Joel!
Well, I would really like to see as much participation as possible, but we're starting to get to the holidays. Would the last week of March / first week of April work best for those interested? Joel, would you guys propose the night of the week / weekend that works best for you guys in your location? I'm hoping more people are able to join, as that makes these events all the better!

Ok, so I've talked it over with John and the brothers and we've picked Friday April 11th. Hopefully this will work for people that are interested. There will be more information to follow, but for the time being this is the date and we can kick the event off at 6:00 or so.
To everyone interested, please RSVP to me at joel.may@fratellocoffee.com so we can have an idea of numbers. If anyone has any requests for what they'd like to see, feel free to make some suggestions.
Some of the things that will be a given is an opportunity to try the Clover, the Slayer modified La Marzocco, various steam pitchers and tampers. As well, we'll have some unique coffees to sample like our "Nicaraguan Pacamara Peaberry" and some of our Gallery Series coffees as well. There may also be an opportunity for a tour. We will also offer the possibility for a tour of the roasting facility as well.

So far I think I've only seen 2 confirmations for this event (besides myself of course). I'm hoping that more people express their interest or ability to join us on April 11th!!
To be fair to our hosts, we should try set a date and minimum number of participants to make sure it will be worth the effort they'll be putting in for this event.
Is there something the local community would like to see at this event in order to give it a specific "purpose" and reason to attend? The last event just seemed to informally become a "latte art" contest, however I'm sure the guys at Fratello would be open to treating it as cupping session, a latte art event again or possibly just a social to bring the local community together and try some specific beans / roasts and just enjoy the company!
Please let me know if anyone would like to see more structure - otherwise I'm hoping we do get more confirmed interest, as I'm excited to try have another one of these events and see if we can make it a quarterly trend!!
Please feel free to email me if you'd like to send your feedback outside of the forum post!! keenbean206@gmail.com

I'd like to come out, I'm very much an "am" as opposed to a "pro", but if rookies are allowed I'll come down to Fratello . I met Joel down at Fratello about a month ago and learned a lot over three espresso's and a latte. For me, I'd love to use these kind of sessions to learn more about coffee and the various aspects of preparation as well as learning/practicing techniques for creating microfoam and pouring art. It might be trouble though, going from that Slayer back to Silvia might kill me!

Hi all,
Regrettably, I have some family obligations I need to set as a priority this weekend, and therefore I will be unable to attend the Pro-Jam event this Friday. Since I haven't seen an overwhelming amount of responses (and not to minimize those received) - would anyone mind holding off on this for a week or two, so we can try coordinate another time? I really enjoyed the last one and would really like to make it again.
All that being said, if the hosts are still up for hosting and enough participants will be there, please just include me on the next one!
