If you're on the north shore of vancouver, either to do the grouse grind, or on the way back from whistler, or whatever, Take the lonsdale exit South, and go past the london drugs to 18th avenue and there's a new place called.. um..
La brazza? I'll have to check out the name, i never look at the sign, and I just discovered it a few weeks ago.. It is on the same side as london drugs, only about a block south.
Excellent barista there, coffee arts, et al, la intelligencia black cat beans, and really really good gelato..
It's just a few minutes from my house, and the latte' was so good it made me fire up my old brass boiler machine again.. I was cured dammit.. now the sickness has started again..
He served me my first rosetta ( yes, I had been away from caffeine for about 2 years now, and during that 2 years seems like the bar has been raised) and after watching him pour a few I found myself searching the net , whereupon i stumbled on this forum..
I've ingested 10 doubles in 3 days now, ... it's a good start.

Not that it's needed with Notaddicted's passionate praise, but I heartily second the recommendation! Great espresso, nice room, and gelato that looks (too early for ice cream ;) incredible.
I now have a North Shore conection - thanks Notaddicted!

Brazza Gelato & Coffee 1846 Lonsdale Avenue North Vancouver, B.C.
Lino (I'm pretty positive he's the owner) placed second at the 2005 Canadian Barista Championship. Sounds like a good place... Hopefully I can check it out while I'm in Van.
