I'm in the process of buying from them and after a couple of emails, promptly replied to by IDC, I emailed a list of about 8 items I'm planning to purchase asking what is the best price they can give me. I, again promptly, received an email with a quote I'm pretty happy with. So I didn't haggle, I just asked what their best price is.
I first bought a Baratza Vario grinder from them 3 or 4 weeks ago. When that went well, last Thursday I ordered a Rocket R58 along with a whole bunch of accessories. The whole lot is supposed to arrive Tuesday this week, I can't wait to get it! Years ago I mistakenly moved from a "real" espresso machine to a Saeco super-automatic (at least it was a really quick cup) and also an AeroPress (not that bad), a stovetop Moka (can't believe how much better coffee from a stainless steel Moka tastes compared with an aluminium Moka!), and I'm embarrassed to say a Nespresso(bad taste mistake). Really looking forward to the Rocket R58 and re-learning the skills of grinding, tamping, and brewing real espressos.
To date things have gone well with idrinkcoffee.com
I'm still left wondering if the Vario and the R58 were the right choices for me but that has nothing to do with the sellers, but with me. Even after weeks on the Internet one can never be 100% sure, and there are no local places selling any Rocket models, and only the lower range of Baratza grinders. Even after reading all the online reviews it does feel a bit like buying with blinders over your eyes.
I'm planning to replace my roaster in the next 6 months or so and at the moment idrinkcoffee.com will certainly be top of my list of places to check. .
