Hello fellow coffee geeks! Just wanted to introduce ourselves. We are a new coffee shop that opened in June in Ottawa on Elgin st. Our goal is to bring Ottawa some much needed relief from mediocre coffee. We are rotating our roasters. So far we have been using Social coffee, 49th Parallel and Pig Iron. This week we are using Pig Iron on drip, as well cold brew. For espresso this week we are rotating Pig Iron SOE Ethiopia Adado espresso as well as 49th Parallel Epic and 49th Honduras Las Capucas SOE. Hope you all can make it in to check it out. We have lots of retail bags of the coffees just mentioned that arrived today. Say your from coffeegeek and your first espresso is on us!

we are on facebook and twitter (@theminofcoffee) where we update whats new and what coffees we just got in.

Our shop address is 279 Elgin st. open summer hours weekdays 7:30-6  and weekends 9-5

Have to say I love this place and would be a regular if I lived or worked nearby.  They bring in great beans (in addition to those listed they've carried Phil and Sebastian, Pilot and Anchored among others) and are super friendly.  Definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't already.

After moving to Ottawa, this is my go to place for coffee these days.  Baristas really understand extraction and how to make good coffee.  They are also carrying some of the nicest and fresh coffees in town.  They are currently in the midst of doing a run with Heart Coffee from Portland.  Super nice coffee that is super flavourful and well-balanced.  Very much enjoying the sweetness of an Ethiopian that I bought this week.
