Finally I don't need to walk 15 minutes to Myriade or Piccolo. Few weeks ago new coffee shop opened in core downtown Montreal, at Peel and McGill College, right across entrance to the McGill University. Great people passionate about coffee, great service, great coffee, great espresso machine. What else do you need at 7:30 in the morning? Cheers, Miroslav

Are they mostly focused on espresso or brewed coffee? Do you remember which coffees they had when you went? I haven't found the time to go yet but if it's worth it, I'll try to stop by when I'm in the area.

They have mostly what you see in Myriade these days, Intelli, George Howell... Espresso seems to be their thing, although I had very nice filter too. Very passionate people, genuinly interested in your feedback... They look like their dream came true: to open the cafe. Worth a visit, definitelly.

Oh that is pretty interesting! I will drop by after lunch, I work nearby. Although I love to go to Myriade and Pikolo, this one could be my everyday stop.

Just came back from the Humble Lion, great place, friendly staff, great espresso. Had the George Horwell, it was really wonderful. I will definitely return to try the Black Cat.
The coffee scene is really exploding in Montreal, I was waiting for this to happen for a while, I gotta admit that I am really happy to see that! We have a great diversity.
