Hello everyone,

I just moved to Oakville from Montreal and I am in desperate need to find some decent, fresh espresso beans.  Do you guys know where I could buy some Black Cat, 49th Parallel or anything decent for espresso ?

I would like to find something nearby Oakville.  Burlington and Mississauga would also work.

looking forward to hear back from you.

Bye  :-)

The I Drink Coffee store on Steeles Avenue in Milton (15 minutes north of Oakville, via Highway 25), has espresso beans.

Here's a link:

A little further than you'd like, but Matt Lee's Manic Coffee in Toronto carries Intelligentsia BC. I just got off of the phone with Matt & he recommends & sells Reunion Island Coffee & a new espresso blend called "Bullet".

Hi Jukin,
you can find Intelligentsia at Piconnes grocery in Dundas. They are right in the main street. If you come, visit my business across the street while your there. Check out my profile for details.
Cheers

Specific to Oakville,
The Green Bean Coffee Roasting Co. has a good blend:210 Lakeshore Road East.

Also Specific to Oakville, the Whole Foods Market at Trafalgar and ... Speers?  Roasts on site, but I hate their blend (too charcoal-ed for my tastes)...but that's just IMHO.  Their setup is open fishtank style hopper/bins, and I always wondered how they track the freshness... but I am getting off track.  Their OTHER coffee is roasted lighter, @ 12.95/lb

Also specific to Oakville: the new Longo's store on Wyecroft at the border with Burlington(3455 Wyecroft - QEW west to Burloak, south on Burloak to Wyecroft, then turn left).

The store does in-store roasting and likely at a more reasonable price than the always expensive Whole foods :)

Cool!  It's nice to have so many choices of non-Downtown Toronto real roasters in the West (GTA)! Heck it's double nice to have an espresso machine dealer pop up in your town under your nose too :)

All, I don't want to derail this thread - - especially since I'm a new member. I do want to send a private message to olph4rt about his roaster but I don't think the forum software running this board has PM functionality. I looked at the FAQ. Am I correct?

Thanks.
