I've been wondering what was going to move into the newly renovated building at queen E and ashdale (Toronto) and today we saw a help wanted sign for baristas for a coffee shop called Ideal coffee. Does anyone have any info? It's at 1560 Queen East, it is going in where the old Dutch Pot jerk place used to be.

Same I deal coffee as KEnsington & also they've opened in the west end.
They have a nice big raoster in KEnsington, I've had there beans. There espresso blend is nice.
If you buy 1 lb of roasted you get a free espresso based beverage.

I missed them when i was looking around kensington last summer, i stumbled into moonbean tho. Kensington spins me around in there trying to find things.
I don't see any news about the new locations on their website, but i see they roast. It'll be interesting to have a really local (walking distance for me) roaster.
It'll be nice to have a real coffee shop at that spot on queen as it's a bit of a "empty" area there. It's close enough to he beaches to think maybe the beachers will stumble across coxwell to get better coffee.

Wonder if the Coffeetime down the street is going to take a hit ;)

Cool, an espresso bar around the corner that roasts.  The Dutch Pot had some good rotis :(  Oh well,  it's a good trade.

I stopped into I Deal today as they are now open and what a transformation from the run down roti shop. I'm not sure they get everything ramped up to speed in there but it's worth stopping in and checking it out. It looks like the shop is in 3 sections, a front section with seating and the espresso bar, a midddle section for making food? .selling fresh roasts maybe? we'll see what they fill in the blank with. And i caught a glimpse of a big roaster in the back. Looks like they are really putting down roots on ashdale
