I know this is relatively short notice, but hopefully it'll work out all the same.  I want to host an evening next weekend (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday) dedicated mostly to tasting and appreciating espresso.  If interested, please email me.  maze_bright (@) hotmail (dot) com with general availabilities.  Space is limited to about 10 people.  Cheers,
--Anthony

ARGH! I'm leaving Friday night for a two week vacation.

If you don't get enough interest and are looking to reschedule Anthony, I'd be extremely interested any time after Aug. 5.

Damn, I hate missing this kind of thing.

Chris, fortune smiles.  We're going to do it Thursday evening, I'm hoping to start between 5 and 5:30.  It's going to be a lot of fun, I'm fairly certain everyone's going to be pleasantly surprised and that nothing like this has ever gone down before, especially in Montreal.  And this will be the first of regular "evenings," maybe every month depending on what the demand is.  I definitely want to do a drip coffee night at some point.

So to be clear about this week, this Thursday the 19th starting between 5 and 5:30 I'll be hosting a night of espresso tasting (with and without milk) and discussion and general fun.  The location is Cafe Veritas at 480 St. Laurent (just past Notre Dame in old Montreal).  Please RSVP to me via email (see first post) or in person at the cafe, I'd like to know how many to expect.  Looking forward to it,

--A

Argh again. I'll still be at work, and I can't leave early because, of all nights, we're doing a group ride through the Lachine Rapids after work that day. What are the chances??? :-)

I guess I'll just have to hope that it does become a regular thing. I hope you guys have fun!

(We're having dinner in Old Montreal after -- maybe I'll stick my head in at Cafe Veritas afterwards to see if anyone's still around.)

As much as it hurts my bottomline, I may be able to skip work that day (I have rehearsal anyway). Sounds too good to miss.
