Can anyone place your own opinions here?
I often go to Gloria Jean's Coffee...
But I really want to try some different good quality coffee, and I don't know where should I go even there are so many cafes in Sydney...
The location is better in City, North Shore Line...
Coffee is my favourite...hehe...^-^

I'd say that Mecca is the best.

Mecca is great and so is Single Origin on Reservoir St, Surry Hills. Time Out recently gave it number one Sydney cafe (Mecca was up there too). Recent industry awards gave Best Cafe to All Press in Alexandria.

The Single Origin website is easy to find, they also roast. I hear the Mecca guys have started blogging but I haven't been able to find it - if anyone knows where it is... :)

Are you just looking for places in the City and North Shore? Or other parts of Sydney too? The places already mentioned are really worth checking out, there's no much in North Sydney that I know of, but I like Oven in Cremorne is pretty good.

When I moved to the north shore I struggled to find a good coffee - does gloria jeans even sell coffee? lol.

Took me a while, but I came across a place called Bean Drinking in Crows Nest just off willoughby road. It beats all the other places hands down... they do whole beans as well, so I make a point of going along on a saturday morning, getting my 'supplies' for the week and read the paper while having a decent long black... perfect start to the weekend mate!

Just on these guys; I work in Crows Nest and tried them out once. I went in there, it was quiet, and I ordered an espresso and the kid behind the machine walked up to it and pressed the volumetric button - that's right, the PF was already loaded with coffee and in the machine. I didn't pay for it or drink it. That turned me off. It could have been a one off shocker by a 'fill in', as I've heard better things about it since. In retrospect I should have said something, but I think I was in shock and walked out. There is better coffee in Crowie IMHO.
