Hi , I am coming to Auckland next week and then on to Nelson. I love visiting great cafes and roastery's any ideas or new places in Auckland worth checking out. I have never been to Nelson before, but have been told the Boatshed and Morrisons are great and I have a few days there and drink quite alot so need a few more.

I live in nelson, but now that i home roast, and have a good home set-up i don't get out to the cafes as often as i used to! Morrison street is usually very good, Emma markland webster, the award winning barista used to work there, not sure if she still does.Pomeroys would be our main local roaster, they've just opened a new site called the coffee factory, but it's not very central. It's in the elms industrial site between nelson and richmond. It's where they do their roasting now, and despite it being in an industrial estate, it's a really nice cafe with great food and coffee. There's another good place in new street , off the main street (trafalgar st) .I think the cafe is called Kaffiene, they serve really good coffee. Enjoy your trip!

Hi, thanks again, I am back home in Dunedin after a few really cold days up north ( who said Dunedin was freezing!) I went to Bens, it was really busy and the coffee was great. I went to Jones the Grocer in Newmarket which was ok. Magazino in Newmarket had the best service I encounted in Auckland and a really yummy croissant. I also went to Morrison St Cafe in Nelson, where the food was great. I also went to the coffeefest and thought the last one I attended had a much bigger turnout. I won Bronze in the Flat White section so I was stoked !! Great to be back home though.
