Well some of the best chefs in the world are now using nespresso "George Clooney coffee" Tetsuya has been a fan of this pod from hell and now Interlude in Melbourne is looking at it. One of the greatest palates in the world Heston Blumenthal at Fat Duck is using it now. Sorry Nim your hero "SUCKS" Telling him the news today he almost cried. Looks like the fine dining has hit a lower low. Well at least El bulli is using whole beans still, even if it is Lavazza. I wonder what Ramsay is using? I'm too scared to look

i thought that Tetsuya was vittoria?? i guess they recently changed at least aria in sydney is using proper coffee, tho it is overwhelming to see the amount of hat restaurants that use poor excuses for coffee
i guess the converse to this is that how can a restaurant afford or rationalise using top coffee & quality baristas when they really only serve about 20 coffees per night... though if you have a coffee, and a bad one at that, the taste that lingers is unforgettable...

Why can't quality cafes have later opening hours?! Take coffee out of restaurants (and milk bars, McDonalds, even Starbucks while you're at it) and leave it in the hands of people that care about it.
I'm quite often craving a coffee late at night (post-dinner) and almost envy those kids hanging out in Starbucks, oblivious to how bad the coffee that they're putting in their mouth is. I just can't bring myself to walk in there.
