on my way to WBC soon and stopping in London, can anyone suggest where to go and check out some coffee and any good coffee retails stores??

Drury's in Covent Garden does a good shot, plus they're an excellent retail outlet. There was an internet cafe nearby (don't know the name, but walk out of Drury's, turn right, turn right again at the next street, down the hill about 300m) that had a killer double shot pulled by a goth female barista, but that was 3 years ago.

Forgot to add, it's really worth visiting the Bramah Coffee & Tea Museum, and they do great coffees (Swift grinder & LM) as well, see http://www.coffeeco.com.au/newsletter/june2006.html .
