Stassi, "Skinny Flat White - Super hot - Super flat - but not milky " ???? man thats a challenge.... i mean i get lots of silly customers as well... such as,
"I would like a flat white with extra froth ( i know these people dont know their coffee drinks but when i say its a cap, they go NO FLAT WHITE WITH EXTRA FROTH...O___O... i guess no chocolate on top? XD)" "I would like a Tall 10 shot Mac O________O XD" ( i LOVE ppl addicted to coffee) and people who customise their coffee... like stuff you would go out of the line to do... most craziest one... "Can I get a regular latte... but mixed with orange juice... O_O..." now that was a first but hey service is service?
All of these were done with a nice smile and served... ^^v
I really don't get your problem - try a decent decaf and you will understand why people order it, and watch out you may be being judged on the quality of your decaf alone.

all I would say, is look at it from your customers perspective, then it will make sense.
I ask what is in food all the time. "excuse me can you tell me whats in that egg sandwhich?" for example. why - I am dealing with food allergies, and that question sometimes is literally a life or death question. does the question seem so silly now? did you know that ham sometimes has milk product in it? that bread can contain peanuts and milk?
as for the babycino - did they have kids with them? may have been looking for a childs drink?
the latte without froth - we often ask for a drink that is not what we want, so that in the confusion the correct drink will be built... you would be amazed how many places can stuff up a straight shot of espresso - some places serve it with milk...
not getting at you, simply pointing out that there are some very good potential reasons for each of those questions - and on the allergy one, if that was me, and you couldn't answer, you would not see me again, as there are plenty of places out there that take customers allergies seriously - we go to some places not because the coffee or food is stellar, but because they cope with the allergies properly. It's a service thing.
and remember people like what they know, and they know what they like - and they are also paying your bills.
