Hi,

At the moment I'm sitting in a jetlagged induced insomniatic state in a hotel in Milan Italy.  I've been lucky enough to get to come over and check out the bi-ennial show for product trends and new products as well as getting to drink my fair share of coffee.

On the first day of the show Friday it was quite common to hear Australian accents amongst the visitors.  Probably 20-30 different Aussies spotted so far.

Organisers website: http://sic.expocts.it/manifestazione/manifestazione_EN.aspx

My trip log at www.gilkatho.com.au/travels  During the "awake" hours I've been updating a trip log.

Weather is cool and cloudy, coffee is hot an fresh.

Pictured below Nick Wolski (National Coffee Gosford) doing his best to sample the entire range of espresso flavouring syrups at the show.

Regards

Wayne

Don't be sorry I mean someone has to do it.:

This year the event is being held in the new Fiere Rho.  The new venue us huge.  HOST is only the second event to be held at  the new centre. This location will most certainly become one of the best exhibition centres of the world.  They are having a few logistics issues as would be expected as they iron out the systems.

Not only that, we are having to put up with going out to evening dinners with suppliers and we all know how the Italians love their food.

Then, their is the hospitakity and vitality of the host countries citizens.  So mnay good things have come to us from the Italian culture.  Pizza, fine food, pasta, Lamburgini, Capice!

This one drawback;  with this dreaded jetlag, only 2 more sleepless hours until another day dawns.
