Hi everyone.

Well I'm not from Africa, but I have some good friends all over the continent, including Ethiopia, South Africa, Nairobi, Kenya, Tunisia, Morocco and elsewhere. If you're on CoffeeGeek and located in any country in Africa, please take a moment to introduce yourself!

Mark

Liam from the UK originally, but living in Cape Town, South Africa for the last 4 years.

Made the move from quantity to quality on coffee a few years ago.

Tend to mostly use Aeropress, V60,  but have just brought a Hario NEXT vacuum/syphon pot from taiwan.

Working in a Christian community here committed to development and discipleship in townships in the far south.

When in the city, I frequent EspressoLab & Deluxe Coffeeworks, and TRUTHCoffee the longer I spend time at Home Affairs!

Joe here hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, howzit!

Great site and some real in depth posts on coffee, loving it.

I work as a barista in Vredehoek and I'm interested in learning a hell of alot more about the business and the art of excellent coffee making.

I'm also on the prowl for experienced barita's who would be interested in working at my cafe.

Post me for details.

Hey,

I'm from Johannesburg, and I have recently delved into trying to learn more about making coffee, and have interest in being a part time / home barista...

I absolutely love coffee, and all things about it. I have read and watched so much about it, and now I am trying to experience it myself.

I've always been a predominantly pour over and french press man, but recently bought an Aeropress and loving it!

I also tried my hand at espresso making at my local cafe using a La Marzocca 3 group... I must say not as easy as it looks.. but I'll get there!

Looking to buy a fair 1 group home machine to play with....  but we'll see...

Just recently discovered this forum and been reading a lot!

Thanks for having me!

Hello,

From Richmond, Virginia, love roasting, grinding and make a pourover with the Kalita!!!

Also have a La Pavoni Europiccola 2002, and need help, even so much info has been offered here and there, but struggling still.

So, I would like to know someone in the Richmond, Virginia area who would be willing to share their hands on experience with me in making a great espresso with the La Pavoni!

I am retired, so there is plenty of time!

Thanks, this forum is great!!!

I no longer live in Africa, but I grew up in Kenya.

It is hard to grow up in an area with the best coffee in the world and trying to replicate it here in the US.

My dear friend in Kenya was able to send me some Kenyan coffee about a year ago.  I savored every sip!  Buying Kenyan coffee here just hasn't been the same.
