Preview: So if you don't need the steam wand or the hot water tap it seems a bit unnecessary to get a DB machine.   The sale on the Alex is nice but there are many HX machines just as good for the sale price so...

Preview: this works for me and I have a Capresso Infinity grinder. Grind on the far left medium grind, use 15.5 oz. hot water, 21 grams coffee beans. That should pour in about 4 minutes and give you a nice cup....
