Preview: Noticed you are in Alaska, so protecting any machine from freezing when powered off would be a major consideration.  For a 110v system something like the La Cimbali Junior or Faema E98 might fit well....

Preview: It may well be that the $500 Vario is not as good at going back to an exact setting after a large excursion, as a $3000 Robur.  But does it really matter?  See, just because a grinder like the Vario CAN...
