Preview: Vaseline is a blend of mineral oil and wax.  It is not poisonous in small quantities.  It is not really optimised as a lubricant, but will work in a pinch.  But, what you want is an H1 grade lubricant....

Preview: We never do it anymore, as we're big into the espresso machine.  But, years ago, we used to reheat/heat coffee in the Microwave.  The trick is to not let it get anywhere neat a boil.
