Subject: Saying goodbye to two CoffeeGeek Moderators, and introducing a new Moderator!

This week we've had some changes for the CoffeeGeek forums. Two of our moderators have left the moderation service, and we've enrolled a new moderator.

We're saying our thanks to Jon Rosenthal (JonR10)) and Robert Jason (IMAWriter), both long time moderators on the CoffeeGeek forums.

Thank you Rob and Jon
What can I say about Jon Rosenthal, other than he's pretty much a complete legend around CoffeeGeek. He was the inspiration for one of the longest threads we've ever hosted (the Look out JonR!!! espronography thread). He's helped countless members with their coffee and espresso questions over the years, and he's been an ardent moderator in the past, making sure our forums stay spam, scam, and advertisement free. He'll be missed. We hope to see Jon continue to be an active participant as time goes on.

And then there's Rob Jason. No one on our moderating team did a more thorough job finding scammers and spammers on this board than Rob did - you have no clue! Rob had laser vision when it came to finding posts that were not quite what they appeared to be. He also had a big part in steering many CoffeeGeek members onto better coffee and espresso over the years. As we look forward to 2013 and beyond on the CG site, I hope we'll find new and even better roles for Rob to take part in on this website if and when some big site changes come to be.

Introducing our newest Moderator
We're really pleased to introduce you to someone you probably know from our forums - Wayne Parris, (calblacksmith). Wayne expressed interest in being a moderator last year, and it is purely because of my own bad habits that he hasn't been promoted to moderator status before now. We really look forward to Wayne's increased participation on the boards! Please take a moment to welcome him, if you like.

Also, we're actively seeking a few additional moderators at this time. It is purely volunteer, and you can do as much or as little as you like. I've posted the details here.

Jon was certainly an inspiration to me. He is largely to blame for starting my ongoing love affair with espresso.

Over 10000 posts on CG alone... wow! Thanks, my friend, for all you have given to the online espresso community over the past decade.

Well, many thanks to both. They have been a great help and inspiration, ever since I joined CoffeeGeek. I sure hope Jon and Robert will continue to participate in many discussions around here.

Also, welcome to the moderator board, Wayne! He's been just as helpful to me as Jon and Robert.

I would also like to thank both Jon and Rob, both outstanding gentlemen and wonderful partners.  Long serving to inspire and educate me in my coffee journey, best wishes to both and a very warm welcome to Wayne!
