Welcome to CoffeeGeek and to our ever growing community of coffee enthusiasts! Whether you are new to Internet forums or just to this one there are many things that you, as a member, can do to improve the community.
"Do unto others..."
Sounds easy enough, but remember to approach, interact and treat people as you would like to be treated in return. That's the single most important thing you can ever do here. Understand that our community is a collection of people quite passionate and at different experience levels.
Know the Rules
CoffeeGeek has Forum Rules viewable at the bottom of every single community forum page. The rules are meant to create a positive place for all users and to promote an ever growing quality of discussion in this community. These rules apply to every single user of CoffeeGeek, period. No exceptions. More information is included in the CoffeeGeek FAQ.
Accept Decisions made by Moderators
CoffeeGeek has a small team of volunteers tasked with the job of making sure forum rules are adhered too as well as helping the community and improving discussion. They are a team of people, each with an understanding of the responsibilities involved with forum moderating. Decisions are not made hastily and every correspondence received from members is discussed as much as possible. The team strives to be fair to every member of the community. You may not always agree but accept the choices made and subsequent actions of the moderating team, they are here to help as much as possible.
Make this YOUR Community
Most importantly this is your community and as such will be what you chose to make it. Actively engage in discussion and strive to promote positive and productive discourse. By understanding your role in this community you will find you have the power to make it into the community you want to most participate in. Please, make CoffeeGeek your very own and be a part of our growth and never ending evolution of all things coffee.
