Subject: Experienced Lead Barista Wanted for Canadian-owned Mexican Coffeehouse

El Corazón Café is located in the safe and idyllic Canadian/US-expat community of Loreto Bay, just south of Loreto in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

We are looking for a senior-level Barista with a minimum of 5-years' experience in the specialty coffee business to join the team. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, and the abilities to multi-task, work well in a fast-paced environment, and handle stress with grace. The job requires full-time dedication and flexibility working in a unique location.

Applicants should also:
  • have the innate ability to work well with others and contribute equally to the team
  • be highly organized and maintain a clean environment
  • have a keen and genuine interest in serving the best coffee in the region
  • have enthusiasm and experience training and educating staff about good coffee and making espresso-based drinks
  • have a warm, welcoming and friendly personality
  • have a sincere willingness to serve customers and see people happy

Contract runs for 9 months during Loreto's high season: October 2012 - June 2013, with a possibility for renewal based on performance. Housing is available. Canadian applicants preferred. Send CVs (pdfs only) or LinkedIn profiles to: meetyou@elcorazoncafe.com

This is a great opportunity for someone who has made a happy career out of coffee and the business of coffee. Only serious applicants will be considered.
