I have done some playing around, and have come up with what I think is the best iced coffee. This is how I suggest you make it.

Take a cocktail shaker, and fill with about 1-1.5 ounces of simple syrup (Use a 1:1 sugar to water syrup for best results)
Insert 6 ice cubes
Pull 2 1.5 ounce shots of espresso into a glass, and then pour into the shaker. (You should do it into a glass first so that if you pull a bad shot the entire drink is not ruined.)
Put the lid on the shaker and shake for about 15 seconds.
Remove lid and pour into a glass
Add 3 more ice cubes to the glass
Top with about 1-2 ounces of half and half (or to taste, or the milk of your choice but half and half is simply the best). (Give the glass a slight stir with a spoon or flick of the wrist if you want to further distribute the milk throughout the drink).

This makes a drink that is about 12 ounces. Feel free to play around with the ratios of milk, coffee and syrup but I found that this ratio works the best. Make your own simple syrup, as it makes a difference. It sounds strange that a drink would taste better shaken, but iced coffee tastes far better when prepared this way. Enjoy!

Mods/Admins: Feel free to delete one of the copies of this thread as it accidentally posted twice because my internet connection is acting finicky.
