I use a siphon coffee maker at home. Adding the asian twist, I add on 4 or more slices of ginger into the vessel, and when the brew's ready, you have a tinge of cooling ginger in the coffee. Best drink without sugar...

I like that idea. Sometimes for myself I sprinkle a little bit of cardamom with my espresso grinds before I put it through my machine. Just a taste I find nice, takes away from the coffee a bit though. I guess a purist would not like the idea. I'm open to experiments though.

Coffee is all about coffee itself. Nothing compares to an espresso made by using pressure as done by the espresso machines from fresh ground beans. These days domestic machines for ground coffee and pods are continuously becoming cheaper. If u could some get a machine home to brew real coffee, you probably save the ginger and spices for the curries.
