I used to work at Starbuck's and it's my twin sister's favorite drink (calls every year around this time and informs me of when she gets her first one of the season).
Go with half Milk/half Egg Nog (2% or skim, they use whole, really doesn't matter, depends on taste and if you are using light eggnog), then steam up to around 140F for drinking around the house or 150-160F for travel mug (stays hotter longer), Egg Nog is pretty resilent to scorching as opposed to skim which tastes horrible at 160 or above (you'll never convince some people though).
On a side note, if you try steaming apple cider don't take it above 130F and keep the nozzle below the surface. I throw in a little caramel syrup (Smuckers makes a great no-fat flavored one).

I just had my first Chi Eggnog Latte at Starbucks over the weekend. I loved it! I want to be able to make at home. Does anyone know the recipe. My sister ordered it for me so I could not watch to see what they added. Did not know if it was straight-up egg nog or if milk was added.
Also had a sample of their gingerbread. How is that made?

The Ginger bread is easy. They sell a syrup that you simply add to the latte. As far as Chi Egg Nog, I have no idea, but I would assume they would take 1 Part Egg Nog, 1 Part Chi, and 1 part milk.

give me a couple of weeks, and I'll be able to give a list of all their holiday recipes. I'll be going back to work at the *$ kiosk when I go home for Christmas break.
Their chai is junk, just fyi. It's made from a pre-made concentrate. Add water, then milk and/or eggnog. (I'm not sure on the proportions for that yet.. but I'll know it when I go back. )
