Incidentally, when I was teaching my class about individualism, I used an advertisement to illustrate that viewpoint. It may appeal to you if you have a more individualist orientation (compared to an egalitarian orientation):

Thanks for the video, Dana.  Of course the actor in the video usually portrays PSYCHOS in movies, however the points illustrated I can relate to.

  2. Only the truly religious dare to question their faith.
  3. Republicans do have a sense of humor: [insert Hillary joke here].

Wow Wayne - u and I are in some cases total polar opposites in what we want and expect from government (and from private enterprise); but then again, I am a Canadian (though locally I'm considered right wing - that'd make me a socialist libertarian. No my head didn't explode).

But that said, I still love ya mate and am glad and thankful you're on the moderating team here! :D

I don't know any Hillary jokes.  However I do know about a billion Michelle jokes.  She's the gift that keeps on giving.

When asked how it would reduce crime she responded with words to the effect of AS THE BIGGER MAGS ARE USED UP, ONLY THE 10 ROUND MAGS WILL BE LEFT. It went totally over her head that what she said is the same as (when applied to a car) As the gas tanks over 5 gallons are used, only 5 gallon gas tanks will be left. Completely ignoring the fact that both a mag and a gas tank can be refilled, and will NOT be used up the first time it is emptied.

It's not about doing the right thing but rather passing feel-good legislation. From guns to healthcare, there are too many examples to list that proves how erroneous and pretentious their thinking is. This is the problem with politicians - they spew falsehoods on the public who are not educated enough on the topic to realize that they are not based in fact, but speculation. I wonder if the image below is out of negligence and not knowing any better (finger on the trigger while pointed at a crowd) or if it was precisely gauged to make people think all gun owners are completely careless. Oh, F einstein has at least one gun that is carried for self-defense. She admitted it years ago while also admitting she'd ban every gun in America if she could get the votes.

Perhaps the same line of thinking was applied to our current debt. They just don't realize that banks will let you keep borrowing, no matter how many billion-dollar bills we exhaust. If only they really could be used up . . .
