I find that I need to make a small pot of pour over while I wait for my machine to come up to temp. This morning I made 4 cups (2 cup for the wife 2 for me) of med roast Kona using the V60 to drink while we waited (impatiently I might add) for the espresso machine to come up to stable temp.
you know you "got it bad" when you have to make a pot of coffee to consume while you wait for your espresso machine to come up to temperature so you can start making coffee.

I went to my ENT doc last week because of an ongoing irritation in my upper throat. Remarkably, she suggested that maybe - just maybe - I'd get some relief if I wasn't choking down 50 oz of press-pot coffee every morning.
