For somebody to have lived a quarter-century and never seen Star Wars?

...I feel like this is a perfectly valid concern...

Are you referencing the 1st Star Wars release (A New Hope, Episode IV)?  I was in high school when Star Wars (Espisode IV "A New Hope") was first released (1977).  It is one of the top 100 movies ever made, according to a few sources.   If there were people during that time who were my age that did not see it that was generally due to religious concerns (as in against their religion ... and I knew some people like that), or financial concerns.  Could the same scenario be applied to someone 25 years of age who may not have seen Star Wars?

What would be your definition of normal and not normal?

I was home on leave from the Army for a month when we went to the movies to watch it in '77  through a fluke at the ticket window, I wound up holding the tickets for my group and we were ushered into see the movie but they neglected to take or tear our tickets LOL. This is before they printed dates and times on tickets so I ended up seeing it about 14 times in a weeks time. I could recite the dialog word for word for most of the movie!
GREAT movie! The follow on movies, were a step down from the first one.

I agree.  The 1st one that came out, "A New Hope" was incredible and set the standard or Sci-Fi movies I believe even to this date.  Prior to that it was 2001 A Space Odyssey and prior to that "Forbidden Planet" starring Leslie Nielson (in the beginning he did just serious roles).

If I were to choose my second favorite Star Wars film it woule be "Revenge of the Sith".  I thought that the actor (Ian McDiarmid) that played Senator Palpadine/Darth Sidious was quite good in this release.

I feel ashamed of myself after reading this post. Why didn't I watch Star Wars? Hmmm.. may be because I had been too busy with my video games... Okay, it's never too late to mend yourself. I'll download Star Wars (all the episodes) and watch them.

For someone who is 25, Star Wars movies have always sucked. Star Wars and Empire came out before they were born.

By analogy, I'm 45 and haven't seen any Elvis Presley movies. What's wrong with me?

I agree, when the first one came out it was amazing. Lot's of good sci-fi followed.
