Espresso: Philips Saeco Syntia

I'm Max. Just bought myself a Philips Saeco Syntia semi-auto espresso machine and pretty much excited in getting to know more about coffee beans and different methods of brewing. Hope to try brewing with a manual machine one day, but I'm still building confidence here.

Hi! My name is Mauro, I'm from Argentina but I'm living and working in Medellin (Colombia) since 2007. New to the site. I really enjoy drinking espresso, and I recently bought a La Pavoni Caffé Espresso CFL which I'm trying to learn how to use it.

I'm a longtime coffee drinker, but new to making my own. After many years of paying $6/day to Startbucks, I decided enough was enough. I'm now the proud owner of a Crossland CC1 and Rancilio Rocky, and am really enjoying learning about how to pull decent espresso. My SO really enjoys waking up to the smell of coffee, although probably less so the noise of me making it :)
