I never did properly introduce myself to this community. My name is Leonard and I live in New York City. My family is Italian and I grew up drinking espresso and cappuccino made in a stovetop mocha pot. De-licious!
I have not used the mocha style pot since college. I have gone through a number of espresso machines. My latest machine is a Breville dual boiler machine. And I like it very much. (I read all the posts on this site before I purchased it). Thanks!
My very favorite coffee is Kenya AA made in one of my vacuum pots. I could goon and on about the vacuum method, but I will just say that a cup of coffee made in this way effects my sense of smell, sight, design, and of course taste. I have never become bored with watching the process.
Recently I purchased a cold brew filtron coffe extractor and find the concept of this pot amazing, but have not had luck with the extraction process.
I also just purchased a gasket less Cory and am impatient for its arrival to try it out.
Glad to have found all you folks. My hanks and best to you all

"Leonardo" (figured I'd go Italian)... You, I and MANY here are vac pot aficionados. I have a few pots myself, and especially with guests I love to brew up a pot, and let them enjoy the "show." And the coffee. There are a few cold brew threads here, so search away. Buona Natale!

HI!
I love my vac pot but have not used it much. My espresso machine is always on and even for "brewed" coffee, I will just pull a double shot then dilute with hot water, an Americano. I have converted many a visitor to good coffee with this brew, people that did not know that such flavor existed and thought all coffee tasted like MJB in a can.
In real life, my name is Wayne P.
