Hi All I have a new Mazzer mini and seem to be having some issues with what is the correct weight to use. I see a lot of folks reckon 14-15 grams of ground coffee. This seems to little i usually use about 20-21grams. Can someone set me right as if 15 is the go i need to make my grind finder Noel
I don't think there is a hard and fast rule. Personally, I prefer 15g or 16g. Based on what I have read here and on other forums over the years, though, I gather that 20g is probably on the high end of the range. Mostly what I recall reading are weights between 14g and 18g as "the zone."
But if you get results you like better with 21g, then go with it.
I weighed 15 grans it sat low in the basket and ran blonde (what i thought was quick) and tasted a bit bitter. I may need to adjust the grind a bit finer then. Also there wasn't much creme (beans are 4 days old). I have include dome pics if you want to comment Noel
