If you're trying to make the point that you like women who look like strippers to serve you coffee, then consider it made.  Otherwise, I'm not really sure what you're going for here.

OK, that's also a strange thing to say. Are you suggesting that in this world, good looking women all become strippers and ugly women are baristas? Because I have to say, I've seen some ugly strippers, and I've seen some pretty baristas.

Or are you merely asserting that unattractive women baristas are the norm, and whenever you spot a good-looking woman making a latte you disdainfully think to yourself "she's also a stripper".

Favorite line from the video (said by the proprietor):

As concerned as I am about making coffee, I'm more concerned about making money.

Indeed. Can't make money by serving a superior product? Make it by an inferior product served in a way to distract you from the poor product.

I can't say I approve of this topic of thread.

However, since we don't have any rules on CoffeeGeek about these kinds of threads, and there's no clear violation of our existing rules, there's nothing I can do.

But; if these kind of topics do become more frequent I may have to look into changing some of our forum rules.

CoffeeGeek's purpose is to bring together a worldwide community of people who like espresso and coffee so they can discuss, debate, and learn in order to make coffee and espresso better. Bikini baristas and using sex to sell a product that is mediocre is not within the scope of this website's reason for being. I'm not opposed to the concept of beautiful people (men or women), sex in general or various types of porn (camera porn, espresso porn, vintage camera porn, Leica porn, cocktail porn you name it lol) but these things involving sex and women (and objectifying women) have various places online - and CoffeeGeek is not one of those places. Unless the majority of the community wants something like that, and I don't think the majority do.

Regards

Mark

Just because a business has attractive women, that doesn't mean their coffee is bad. That's no more logical than saying that if a person wears a hoodie, they're a thief. It's illogical and unfair. The only way to know whether their coffee is any good is to go and find out i.e. get evidence while taking an impartial view.

And these women at bikini coffee stands (or Hooters) are not trafficked sex slaves; they're working at such establishments for personal reasons because they choose to out of their own free will. Their reasons may include women's liberation and empowerment, since the idea that working in a bikini is automatically objectifying is about 30 years out of date.

I will state that obvious trollish behaviour in our forums is against our rules for fair conduct on this website. This most recent post by the OP is crossing that line. If it does continue, this thread will be locked down and action will be taken against anyone exhibiting obvious troll activities on the CoffeeGeek forums.

EDIT: I've also moved this entire thread to the Off Topics forum, pending further review.

Yeah, but if a bikini barista was wearing a hoodie all I can think is that she has a butter face.  But heck, if she wants to cover it up to keep ones eyes focused on her assets then all the more power to her.  She'll get more tips, that is for sure.  And thats what it is all about for those who work in the sex-centric coffee shops, right?

Again, it's not logically implied that he's selling an inferior product, just because he states he wants to make money. I've heard of coffeehouses going out of business because they focused too much on the coffee. Running a business requires attention to all details.

Again, you're assuming intent where there is none. That's illogical. Logic-based debate is not the same as trolling. I recommend you take an introductory course in Logic sometime.
