I started out on a little 1981 70cc Honda Passport and then had a 1981 Honda CM400T for about 8 years. For the last few years I've been riding a 2006 Honda Shadow Sabre (VT1100C2), but it's in the process of being sold since it's pretty hard to get a baby around on a bike :( It'll be my first summer since I was 16 or 17 without a bike of some kind.

I started riding in 1965 on an SHL 175 which was similar to the Jawas of the period if anyone remembers those. Since then I've owned over 60 different bikes including Nortons, Triumphs, BSAs, bevel drive Ducatis, lots of Guzzis, many BMWs & a few other oddities. Met my wife of 18 years when I went to look at an R90/S she was selling that a friend was interested in.
Currently in the garage: 1975 BMW R75/5 - restored 1976 BMW R90/S - bought new 1982 Moto Morini 3.5 Sport - bought new 1987 BMW R80/100S Cafe 1989 Honda Transalp 600 1992 Ducati 907ie 2002 Aprilia Futura - bought new 2002 BMW R1100S - wife's bike
When I was 19 I had a Honda Hawk - gave $400 bucks for it and rode it to school and work. Wouldn't go more than 110mph but I didn't need it to go any faster. If you don't know about those Honda Hawks they are "Automatic Motorcycles" - just two gears and no clutch, just shift and go.....it was pretty fun the few years I had it!
