Hey, it is ALLL good! Prior to this building, my shop was a 12 x 12 steel shed with a 6 foot tall roof. I worked in that for years. The houses 2.5 car garage had a small path to walk through. It would take half a day to move everything out of it, use a machine then put everything back, all for a 30 minute job. The new building sure was a Godsend! Yes, there is more there now than I had in the garage but you know how space hates a vacuum, like flat surfaces can't stay clean of "stuff"!

This is where I weld my drums.  The row of spheres you see are high induction plasma transfer stations that I utilitze for my bigger welding projects.

Ooooo WOW Len!
I would bet that you could also repair Silvia boilers with those in addition to welding drums. I wish I had known that you had that ability before I bought the boiler kit to repair my work machine, you would have got the job for sure!

Thats where I do most of my customer work, but when I really want to do some real inventive work for myself I do it in my smaller cozier shop below.

Thanks Craig.
It is made from mild steel but the client wanted aged bronze finish so it was sand blasted, primered and then painted with a special paint that had about 20% powdered bronze in it. This gave the piece a true bronz metal surface. It was polished until it gleamed like a new penny (yes pennys are made from copper plated zink but you get the point!) Then it was sprayed with different acids so it looked 200 years old then the high spots were again polished, leaving the patina in the low places. It was then given 2 coats of a UV resistent clear coat to keep it looking this way for years and years.

Like most artists I did the work too cheep but I just couldent let less than my best effort go out the door. Even though modern processes were used where they would not show, thus saving quite a bit of time, I still had 40 hours in it and sold it for only $750. I held my quoted price though it took twice my estamate.  Oh Well :D

Flannel plaid workshirt and worn out oil stained jeans are a prerequisite for entry into the redneck workshop I have, so you would be right at home!
